Chris and Mary Woolf have been promoting ‘local’ for literally decades, since early days teaching at the Stratford Chefs School : from Perth County’s famous heritage pork and other meats, to sustainable-only fish and seafood, to local greens, honey, berries, dairy, cheeses and bread – the care and craft of local producers that put our area on the culinary map.

Chef Chris keeps perennial favourites on Little Red’s menu, plus a blackboard of weekly specials. Well, a black wall actually – there’s always something new that Woolfy’s excited about serving.

Mary watches over the wine racks, beer taps and bar selections – from boutique, VQA and international wineries, local breweries and micro-distillers, plus a collection of hard-to-find spirits, like single malt Irish whiskies, fine scotches and rare bourbons.

Because seasonal and local ingredients are so important to us, the main menu and specials can be quite fluid. So we’ll just give you a few illustrative examples here so you have a sense of what to look forward to! And why locals and visitors keep coming back.
